3 Wishes (plus a Poem) for You

Updated: Aug 20, 2022

Dear Friends,

As we near the middle of December, time passes quicker than we anticipate. Still, the world’s problems grow deeper.

Now, more than ever, we need to focus—collectively, and individually—on what really matters:

Our families.

Our future, while staying present.

Our mental health.

My first wish for you this holiday season is that you get to carve out personal quiet Time.

To reflect,

Relax,

Daydream,

And Do...the things that you always wanted to do.

Even if that is as simple as sleeping in a little longer.

Our minds are a battlefield. Light vs. darkness. Hope vs. despair. Healing vs. trauma. Pleasure vs. pain.

How many of us have buried loved ones this year? How many escaped sickness, or just barely recovered? How many lost more loved ones than they gained?

During our first intense lockdown in Italy, I wrote the poem below. We did not know then (and we still don’t know) what would ensue, how the world would be SO changed.

But, even in these uncertain times, I think we can all still:

Hold Hope,

Hold space,

Hold hands,

Hold light

In darkness

Despair

In loneliness, tonight.

Hold hope, hold space, hold hands, hold light.

Find Faith,

Face Fear,

Know Peace

Tonight.
